The Totality of All Things is a new play by Erik Gernand about an obsessive quest for absolute truth and the damage it can cause. The play contains an extremely intriguing and pertinent question - how do we talk to each other in this modern age of political disparity, and can our feelings of self righteousness justify alienating the people we once held dear.
While crafting the lighting design for this play, it was important to me to create a sense of stark reality. The script carries an immense presence, and it was imperative that the world around those words felt as solid as possible to eliminate any distractions from the drama.
